i just thought i'd mention guys as well that Neil said a lot of his early cartoons were blammed off newgrounds and well, compare Andrew's "Bed Time Stories with Alan Rickman" to Hyak 2003 or Toxic's early works in comparison to Chocolate Niblet beans.

not to mention Untitled or Wizard Power with the Japanese Pokerap or something.

So to be to terribly afraid of making a flash cartoon and have someone say it stinks or whatever over the internet. What I would do however would be is to show it to others first before posting to get a second opinion or if there are problems (voices not synching up which can make animutations unwatchable).

Also, take time to work on flash. Making 5 in a row cause you're on a roll is awesome but be sure to take time inbetween just to play around in flash without making a full length so your cartoons can be even better.

Anyways, this was a fun rant.
Eat fit, and have fun.

i could explain it, but it's hard to explain through text. . .

just toss it in and move it so it scrolls to the right with mirrored images of it trailing behind and make it loop inside a movie clips.

bah that's no help at all.

glad you dug it animubob.

i'm glad you noticed the head thing.

also, depending on the heads you chose, you get a different moral and movie recomendation each time. yay

Also, this is basicly my idol as far as good animutations go. Good work!

Kind of reminds me of "Chocolate Niblet Beans," except without the randomness. Fast-paced, clever, and overall, a must-see according to me. Keep up the good work, Un-J.

Speaking of CNB, has anyone talked to Toxic about submitting his works here? I would like to see them here.

Toxic says that AP is the source of a lot of bad animutations... which is partially true, though like NG they tend to sink to the bottom. The problem is, the volume of submissions isn't as high here, so they stay on the "Newest" list for a long time.

In our defense, we've had a good few good things come out too. My goal is not to shut down those who submit something not up to standard... it is to help them get better so they submit something good.

This is more in reply to Toxic's review of GWTW on Newgrounds than to you, but the point is he probably wouldn't want to submit his stuff.

No, no. I don't blame you. Not all the crud here is yours, Animubob. There have been other works that are not all that great.

Also, I do not blame Toxic for not submitting here, because of details mentioned by Mudi. Practice makes perfect, and if you keep dedicating yourself to the animutation with valor and effort, you could eventually make a quality animutation, like that of Neil, Toxic, Dwedit, and TMST.

very toxic-esque, but different enough that it's decidedly you. its fricken sweet.

it's from an old 80's tv show I like called the Young Ones.

there are tons of references to it in the toon.

also, the elephant head is from that same show.

Horray! A really gewd animutation! And it's not made by Animubob (no offense)! It's real gr8, looks like what Niel used to make, with a little bit of Mausland too!

I get the feeling this had a very Toxic-and-Trapezzoid influence to it, but it still had some of the Un-J magic too.

Don't blink or you'll miss a lot of it. This is good stuff, though. Completely random, but I can't say it's as good as Chocolate Niblet Beans, which I consider to be the best animute ever.

joke wise it's ripped off.

there's either a thin line between taking someone else's joke and referencing it.

I have 3 of the 5 movies on the recommendation thing. I've seen 2. I'd heard of one before watching this. Tried looking up El Notte, all I got was La Notte and El Norte. Is it one of them? If not, what the bloody heck is it?

Well, it managed to stay on Newgrounds and also get on ABS... a good few people saw it.

I still have never heard that expression ever, and I'm going to pretend it doesn't exist outside of this animation for now

The coolest thing is the heads. And some other things as well. The Elephant head part is a nice break from the non-stop randomness. However, the Elephant head thing is a bit slow considering the rest is lightning fast. I think it was really cool, and is the Monstar a variation on a red blob monster I saw in Perot Music Hour?

The outline that flies by the screen befor the "You could be a hero" message is Elephant Head. Dunno if anyone else noticed, but it took me a lot of watches to find out.

They are on my must see movies list.

And The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari is referenced in book #9 of the Lemony Snicket series (which rules)

To the author: I was viewing this animation through a frame analyzer, and I noticed at that part where you hear that voice "Stop that now!", there's a massive 1000-odd-frame jump to the Elephant Head part, then back to the portion it skipped. May I ask why you did that? It wasn't until I ran it through the analyzer did I notice this.

I noticed this glitch too. When I watched the video without the whole thing loading, instead of it playing the Elephant Head part, it just went to a frame later in the movie.

(Get the reference?)

It's OK. I noticed some small animation errors here and there that got on my nerves, and the Elephant Head part? I'm not a huge fan of it.

Too much stuff going on. Have a character singing with a few things moving around. Watch "The Mae West Experience" to see what TO do; watch "Geronimo Stilton's Deranged Journey Through Genovia" to see what NOT to do.

All in all, I give it a 7.
