Sorry about those other uploads, I couldn't get the sound to work at first. Please delete them.

Anyway, this is my first animutation. Pretty sucky, I know, I just used paint and powerbullet.

How to fix the syncing:

Pause it and play it until it syncs up.

I know, it's a cheap method of doing it that actually requires the viewer to do work, but it's worth it.

Hoorah! You used the Lesko

Good try though, Power Bullet is kinda crap.

I am suprised you managed to sync it.

(Note) What was wrong with the other two all I saw was this pic of two guys flash, and then it all just stopped and turned blue?

It just messed up. I don't know what.

As for the syncing problems, in powerbullet I had to type in exact second values and try to match those up with the music, so in fact I'm lucky I got it to sync up as well as it did. It was really tedious.

I can't vote on this because the sound and visual don't properly sync, which is probably my crappy slow connection's fault as much as it is yours. I completely understand your plight; I know exactly how it feels to have to time music in a program that doesn't offer total synchronization. (The original RPG Maker 2000 version of Foo-La-La suffered a problem similar to this movie, which is why I'm glad it was eventually converted.) By the way, I love the song, too. Do As Infinity rules. Their "Week!" is one of the songs I'd animutate if I felt confident enough in myself to locate and learn Flash.

I didn't want to say this, but I'm afraid, with the state of Animutations today, that
NEWGROUNDS RULES!!!
Yes, it hurt me to say that as much as it hurt you to hear it.

Sorry about that

I tried my best but you have to consider it was my first try and all I had was crappy software. My next one will be better, I promise.

It's not that it sucked that much, it's just that the last 5 (seven if you count all of the dead cocoons) animutations were either no good, or weren't animutation-y enough. and that makes me reel sad. Reel reel sad .
And besides, MSpaint is NOT crappy software. MSpaint is GOD.

So which category does this one fall under? Not animutationy or just bad?

It did have a lot of mondegreens.

Meh, I guess bad. Would it really be too hard to put in some background mondegreens?
And besides, the mondegreens you did have were too square.

What do you mean background mondegreens?

And what do you mean they were square?

I'm confused....

Please explain because I need tips for my next animutation.

If you want to see only the animutations that appeal more to the general public, Newgrounds is just fine.

The idea of Animutation Portal is to allow animutationists to get their work hosted and get a little publicity, whether its their first animutation ever or if they have risen to the likes of TmsT or Dwedit. That is why I don't delete any entries unless they are verifiably not animutational.

About the movie though, I loved the mondegreens, but the weakness of Powerpoint showed through on it. I appreciate attempts to create them on platforms other than Flash though. What was the engine for that 64k 3D demo awhile ago? I think someone should try doing one on that

Also, does someone know how to embed a Powerpoint in Firefox? I can do it in IE, but I don't know of anyway to do it in Firefox... if it is possible, I'll add native Powerpoint support to the portal so this might look a little better

I used powerbullet, not powerpoint. I could have made it better if I had done it in powerpoint.

The music was behind the images, and it wasn't up to par to other animutations. Too bad, it could have been pretty good.

Please be nice. Criticism is good, but back it up, throwing insults around won't help anyone.

It's okay, he's right. My attempt at real flash isn't coming along much better, either. If anything, it's worse so far.

Eat A Dead Cocoon. Its main problem is an obvious one, no streaming, but quite frankly, I didnt know how to stream with my first flashes eighter. I liked how it wasnt made in flash, though. It had good mondegreens too, even if I can't see them with the music(I liked the music as well, btw) part it's intended to go with. But, it's a good first try.

How about if it gets redone in Flash sometime? That might save it from the scrap heap of animutational history. (sorry for being blunt)

This is awesome, even though it's not made in Flash. Better than some of the highly-polished crap pumped out by people who are experts at Flash, but still need to work on learning that animutation is about obscure pop-culture references, not making ultra-artistic crap with a bunch of crappy random images from Google Image Search. (Political Science is a prime example of ultra-artistic crap animutation.) Or maybe it's just because Inuyasha was one of my favorite TV shows back when I watched TV and I heard this song about 29781652907 times.

Basically, music is what makes an animutation awesome or turns it into a pile of garbage, and this earned a 10 from me.
