Author's comments:
Foo-La-La! is a rare example of a fanimutation not made with Macromedia Flash. Instead, Indogutsu chose to create it using ASCII's RPG Maker 2000 (RM2K) software, which allows the user to control all aspects of producing a role-playing game in the style of the 16-bit (SNES/Genesis) era. Because of RM2K's limitations, Foo-La-La only presents pictures without animating them, making it nothing more than a "slideshow with sound" in Dwedit's words. Still, it might be worth a download because it takes Rip Slyme's 2004 hit "Dandelion" and turns it into an extravaganza of mondegreens and SNES game screenshots.
The original RM2K version of Foo-La-La is hosted by Gaming Ground Zero (http://www.gaminggroundzero.com/), a site dedicated to quality games and resources for RPG Maker 2000. To download, click on the logo image, then "Games" in the left sidebar once you get to the main page, and finally select "Foo-La-La" from the drop-down menu. Like all things made using RM2K, Foo-La-La requires the RM2K Run-Time Package (RTP) in order to run.
On March 30, 2005, a Flash-based remake of this music video was completed by Quietust on Dwedit's message board. Dwedit's response: "I think it is now in good enough shape to be set loose onto Newgrounds, where it will promptly be blammed."

Looks like it needs some double scaling action.

I'll implement forced sizing of flashes soon, so I'll be able to get it scaled in a bit. Right now it's all auto-detecting, which is kinda nice, but meh.

I liked the movie, but it being the 100th submission is ominous. It's as if Adobe is going to raise the price of Flash so high that we'll all be forced to use cheap imitators. But for a slideshow with sound, this movie was excellent! It's a freaky coincidence that "I want a whummo" fit perfectly with both this song and Yodelbuffet.

The 151st submission will have more ominous weight to it, methinks.

Yep, that oughta be quite a sign for the author of that flash...I saw this flash before, it had many game references, which I'm always a fan of!

Maybe "I Want A Whummo" has the same pronunciation as a universal greeting, like "Bah Weep Grana Weep Ninnybong."

The single most important thing to remember when viewing Foo-La-La is that it wasn't originally made in Flash, but rather RPG Maker 2000, a program that wasn't designed for music video creation to begin with.
Because of the sheer volume of negative comments this movie received when it was first released in Flash form back in April, not to mention the boos and catcalls it got when it was shown during a break at my university's anime club, I have chosen to not make any more fanimutations with RPG Maker 2000. It simply isn't "worth it."
In addition, I have no desire to get Flash because it seems like something I would find complicated and needlessly difficult to use, much like Adobe Photoshop (I have zero background as an artist or an animator).
However, if I know somebody who is making an animutation with Flash, I will gladly supply him or her with humorous ideas and pictures. In fact, watch for a Flash collaboration between a school friend and myself, later in 2005!
Also, I shall continue to show my appreciation for the animutation fan community through my frequent and thorough contributions to the Fanimutation Wiki.
One question: How would you all rate this movie on the Poiuytic (spelling?) scale? I gave it a -10 because none of the pictures ever move at all, but your opinions may be different.
And Mudi, the movie isn't 6:49. Last I checked, it's 6:00, give or take a couple seconds and not counting the Homer Simpson quote at the end.

Well, the play time is automatically generated by the server. It will always include stuff like extra scenes, and it can be up to 30 seconds or so off.

If it counts stuff like extra scenes, that must mean it counted all of the Homer Simpson quotes. I could see them having a total of 49 seconds.

This is a very relaxing animutation to groove to, in my opinion. Personally, I'd say this is very nice due to all the mondegreens. Excellent work!

I actually really liked this. Though RPGMaker prevented you from doing all the animations that you could have done in Flash, the mondegreens were very well done, and animutation is all about weird stuff anyway... trying a new format is not a bad thing IMO.

you know i'm not a terribly big fan, but i love how much you love this cartoon. You write up lengthy articles about it every chance you get.
Learn Flash yourself and you are all set.

Other than that it wuz (WUZ!!1) a gewd flash, kinda long tho, and somewhut borink. And how come Afrenhaus ain't considered an animutation? It's got Colin Mochrie and everything.

I think one reason the Arfenhouse movies aren't considered animutations is because they're not set to full-length pieces of music. Although the Arfenhouse 3 trailer DOES have the Kill Bill theme playing in the background throughout...

NO ITZ CUZ J00 SUXXORS!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!11 ARFENHUOSE $ @NARCARY!!!1 But really man, it shouldn't be necessary for animutations to have music. So many great animutations were not dependant on music, such as Mostly Metal Jacket, or JamezBond. So Arfenhouse and others should be considered animutations, as long as they fit the specific style. Its what Neil would've wanted . RIP, Neil Cicierega We will never forget *edited for line length*

Better than I ever thought a fanimutation made in RM2K could ever be. Quite good, regardless of (original) file extention.

Okay, for entertainment value and mondegreens and hilarious pictures, this one gets the thumbs up by me! But except for the "Cause they don't knock their Knees" bits, this one has no animation! Still, I might wanna start a collabrative project to remake this!

That part is the funniest part of it, IMO. As well as Co-li-o-lin. Great flash, doesnt need animation, its got great mondegreens.

The music is great, the Mondegreens are really funny, and it has a whole lot of RPG references (brings back a lot of memories!)

I liked the EarthBound and Super Mario RPG moments, especially the Tenda Village "Shy" and the Chef Torte "Because you are IDIOT" shots. The French Chrono Trigger robot was funny too.

Nice work.
Nice fake lyrics.
There is not much more to say.
At least, I have nothing more.
This review is falling apart quickly.
Nice work. Again.
